About Me
Welcome to my Studio
Hi there, I'm Kelcy
My
Story
First off, thank you so much for stopping by; I am so thrilled you are here.

My name is Kelcy and I am a Lowell-based Farm Chef, Baker, and Food Educator! If that job title sounds like a dream, that is because it is.
My journey in food and education started as a Nanny and Private Chef for a local family. My nanny kids loved being in the kitchen with me and I began to wonder what would happen if I cultivated that curiosity and helped them explore being in the kitchen, just like my family encouraged me to do.
From there my thirst to teach others to cook grew. I volunteered with a local urban farm, Mill City Grows, and helped teach at their farm-to-table classes and even went on to host my own workshops out of Mill No. 5 in Lowell in conjunction with a local kitchen shop, Over the Spoon. Toss is a few twists and turns and I now find myself running my own business, Chef Kelcy, as well as being the Farm Chef and Kitchen Manager at Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester, MA.
Now, I have the pleasure of working in my community doing all of the things I love; cooking for wonderful clients, teaching others to cook, working with local farmers and small businesses, and of course, supporting the place I am lucky enough to call home base, Wright-Locke Farm.
Some things I do include:

-
Running a wide variety of in-person classes on the farm
-
Hosting Farm-to-Table Suppers
-
Pop Up Pastry Shops!
-
Making healthy and seasonal snacks for the outdoor pre-school at the farm
-
Community outreach cooking classes
-
A variety of youth education including my 6 week "Season's Eating" Middle School program.
-
Private Events both In-Home and Online
-
Working with Libraries to offer fun, engaging, and delicious online cooking programs

As you can see I like to keep it interesting. The good news is, when you work with seasonal food interesting isn't difficult to maintain.
